PHREB Mosque based Women's Rights Campaign reaches 300,000 people every week

Imams for Women Rights Network members speak about Islam and women's rights, women's right to inherent property, education, health care services, reproductive health, maternal health, safe water and breast feeding. Since 2005, Imams for Women's Rights Campaign has been organizing various innovative programs such as Mosque based Friday speeches, community based religious seminars and dialogues. They mobilize men against child marriage, child pregnancy, eve teasing and domestic violence. This is an emerging network of Imams which started with 14 Imams and as of July 2009 it has 185 members.
